For the fourth consecutive year, Coslada bids farewell to summer with the Coslada Radial Festival, to be held from September 13 to 15, 2024. Organized by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Coslada, this festival of contemporary creation seeks to consolidate itself as one of the cultural events of reference in the region.
Under the artistic direction of Hugo Nieto and the dance curatorship of Juan de Torres, the festival will offer a rich variety of dance, music, theater, and workshop activities for both the general public and professionals.
Coslada Radial Festival is an initiative that aims to promote artistic creation in the municipality, as well as to attract new audiences. After the success of the three previous editions, this year the festival surprises again with outdoor performances and unconventional venues, showcasing the talent of resident companies and promoting the participation of neighbors.
This year’s dance program includes a variety of activities, many of them free and others with a small contribution. Highlights include the Alebrijes Creation Workshop by Gallery 337, the Intergenerational Dance Workshop by Cristina Gómez, and the Movement Percussion Workshop with Paula Castañón.
Dance performances include the presentation of Larumbe Danza‘s street performance “The Hare, the tortoise & the influencer” and “Moving ashes”. In addition, “Walking in the Garden” by LD2 Coslada Young Company, “Flowers in the garden” by Natalia Medina, “Those who danced” by Amaya Galeote, “Superfrau” by Baal Company, “PecuLiaR” by Fanny de Funny, and “Dance is my Heroine” by Cristina Gómez will be presented. Finally, the interactive installation “Stage_ON The Road” will be presented, where the people of Coslada will be able to access immersive dance and virtual reality experiences in the Exhibition Hall of the Antonio López Cultural Center.
The IV Coslada Radial Festival promises to be an unforgettable event that celebrates diversity and innovation in contemporary arts.
