LD2 COMPANY

From Larumbe Danza, the professionalization of dance is promoted from the training of new generations of dancers and creators. This is how LD2 Young Company of Coslada, a non-professional dance company formed by dancers between 16 and 19 years old.

This project arises from the result of the training plan that the Larumbe Workshops have carried out during the last decade in Coslada and that has involved in one of its aspects the accompaniment of dance students from their childhood to adolescence or young adults’ age. Some of them with noticeable talent and an interest that go beyond the category of simple entertainment.

As part of Larumbe’s philosophy, time continues to be a determining factor in the search for quality, in this sense LD2 is a platform that combines and unites these different objectives and values.

Festival GEsto

GESTO Dance Festival on the streets, is an annual event that began in 2015 organized by the Department of Culture of the Torrelodones City Council, under the artistic direction and general production of Juan de Torres, which aims to bring dance in general, and contemporary dance in particular, to the audience through a program of professional and high-quality activities, trying to approach dancing to the citizens and to be incorporated into the cultural dynamics of Torrelodones.

Taking advantage of the summer period, our aim is to meet the audience using the concept of Festival to stimulate a less known and less appreciated sector of the performing arts among citizens. For this, an outdoor suitable space is set up for the exhibition of dance performances, so that the public can appreciate these proposals in a surprising environment as well as known. Parallel to the performances, multidisciplinary workshops, exhibitions and artistic residencies are carried out by the companies participating in the festival.

During the last six editions, professional national and international dance companies with great experience have participated, such as the national Thomas Noone Dance, Kor’sia, Kukai Dantza, Elephant in the Black Box, among many others, as well as young choreographers and international companies from Mexico, South Korea, Argentina and Portugal.

DIMENSION IN DANCE: 360º VIRTUAL REALITY AND 3D PROJECT

DIMENSION IN DANCE is an ambitious project of an experimental nature, which combines artistic creation with Research + Development in collaboration with the Coslada Culture Area, which starts from a first pilot activity that generates specific content for VR (Virtual Reality), 360º technology and interactive 3D glasses, using choreographic works and performances as a visual link.

This project’s initial objective is to disseminate the heritage and cultural movement of our City, to both locally and regionally, as well as at national level, through a still new tool for the dance sector, but increasingly common in our time. Without wanting to replace live shows, it is the way that Larumbe Danza and Objetivo Danza propose to contribute to the re-impetus of a cultural activity strongly diminished by the pandemic, as well as to build and consolidate an attractive bridge towards all citizens, especially towards the new generations.

And as a future objective, the creation of a platform for the dissemination of choreographic creations created from the use and interaction with Virtual Reality and new technologies.

Radial Danza
